Our Vision

Jeremiah 32:27 says “Behold I am the Lord, the God of all flesh, is there anything too hard for me?” 

At the Salem Missionary Baptist Church we are excited about the opportunity to grow and develop as a congregation.  We are in the midst of a Capital Campaign to strengthen our ability to construct a new sanctuary to our God that will allow us to build upon our foundation established by our Founder, Rev. Dr. Freddie F. Brunswick.

Following the vision and dream of our Pastor, Rev. Dr. David L. Brunswick, the Salem church seeks to develop the following ministries:

Salem Christian Learning Center— We are planning to implement a child development center catering the physical and educational needs of infants and toddlers in a Christian environment.  The Lord has blessed us with several persons in our congregation who are already certified to direct and implement a full daycare program therefore it is our expectation that this ministry will be established by Fall 2010.

Salem Christian Academy—As a Baptist Church, we are under a covenant relationship that encourages us to “religiously educate our children”.   With this understanding and with a passion for excellence, the Salem Missionary Baptist Church wishes to establish a Christian Academy to meet the needs of children and youth from Pre-Kindergarten through Eighth Grade.

Salem Community Development Corporation—Already established under the leadership of our Pastor, the Salem CDC will develop and implement programs to meet the needs of the disenfranchised including at-risk youth, families in crisis, the homeless, ex-offenders, and others.  The Salem CDC will formally continue the legacy of community involvement and activity that has been synonymous with the Salem Missionary Baptist Church throughout its history.

The Lord is ever expanding our Vision for the future and is constantly unfolding His will for our congregation.  Salem is the church where we are developing a holistic ministry that will bless you whole family.   Join us and help us to build the Kingdom of God!
